  • "Electrical insulation mica tape has high insulation properties and provides long-term insulation for heavy electrical equipment. It has been used for decades in electrical insulation applications such as generators and transformers.

    We offer two types: DL86-VD5 (dry mica tape) and DG86-TP1 (prepreg mica tape)."

  • Characteristics

    Dry mica tape offers excellent resin impregnation properties.

    Prepreg mica tape can be molded into a single unit using only heat press.

    Highly flexible with excellent winding properties, providing excellent adhesion to coils.

    Excellent electrical insulation performance including corona resistance.

    Excellent heat resistance, enabling use in high-temperature classes (former F and H classes, etc.).

DL86-VD5

Dry mica tape is made by bonding mica paper with various reinforcements using a small amount of epoxy adhesive. Dry mica tape offers excellent resin impregnation properties and is ideal for building insulation systems using vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) for high-voltage coils.

DG86-TP1

Prepreg mica tape is made by bonding mica paper with glass cloth using epoxy adhesive. A key feature is that the epoxy adhesive is in a semi-cured state (B-stage), allowing the insulation system to be built using only heat press after coil winding.
